My Passion for Photography

My interest in photography started way back in the early 60’s when my Father bought an Ilford Sportsman camera, which promptly jammed on our family holiday to Venice. I fixed it and from then on he left taking the holiday snaps to me and the rest is history.

After trying to take decent photos with all sorts of film cameras from 110 format to Polaroid – with limited success, I bought my first “proper” SLR camera (Pentax ME Super) in the early 80’s. The driving force was to document the birth and development of my daughter and I ended up giving my first photography lesson to the gynaecologist as my wife endured a lengthy labour.   • Know how your Camera works!

  • Leave viewers in no doubt  – Is it a picture of a duck in a lake or a lake with a duck?

  • Get Low – then get LOWER!
